Mission of the district’s testing and evaluation services
The Northfield Public Schools will use assessments and testing to measure student growth, identify student needs, inform parents, guide curriculum, and communicate district performance.
Northfield Board of Education Goals – adopted at the recommendation of the District Educational Program Advisory Council (DEPAC)
- To promote greater awareness of how to interpret and use standardized test data to enhance learning.
- Improve student achievement by emphasizing a single, measurable area that engages each staff member within the school building.
- Improve student achievement by utilizing standard and other assessment data for students in every classroom by every teacher.
- Develop curriculum based assessments to guide instruction and measure student growth in meeting or exceeding district standards.
