Programs available at the Area Learning Center:

School Day Program

The School Day Program provides a positive, safe and structured learning environment with block scheduling. 

Monday – Friday
8:10 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.

Independent Study

Independent Study is for students who are unable to attend during normal school hours and can complete coursework with minimal teacher direction.

Mondays & Tuesdays
3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Teen Parenting Class

The Teen Parenting Class is incorporated into the School Day Program. This class provides support, information and skill-building opportunities to expectant teens and teenage parents.

Dual Enrollment

Students may be enrolled in the ALC and another school at the same time. Dual learners attend ALC classes after 2:30 p.m. We also have students who are enrolled concurrently in the ALC and regular high school or PSEO.
