Welcome to Bridgewater!

Bridgewater Elementary is a K-5 school that serves just over 500 students. Our mission is to be a respectful, successful, safe community of high-achieving learners. We offer a comprehensive core curriculum that includes a Spanish immersion option through our Compañeros program as well as specialists that provide student experiences in art, vocal, string, and instrumental music, physical education, and media.

We are located  on a 14-acre site on the south side of Northfield. It serves the neighborhood on Northfield’s southern side and the rural area south of Highway 19 and west of Highway 246.

Bridgewater Picture Retake Day

Bridgewater School Picture Retake Day will take place on Friday, October 3.  If you missed the first picture day, or would like to get retakes, this is your opportunity.  If you are getting retakes, remember to return your unwanted packet.  Photos will be taken throughout the day, by class.

Welcome Back!

Some quick notes to make the start of school go smoothly:

  • Bridgewater Daily Hours are 8:20 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
  • There is a one hour late start every Wednesday; busses will run one hour late as well.
  • For bussing questions or concerns, call Benjamin Bus at 507-645-5720.
  • Breakfast is served daily starting at 7:50 a.m. (8:50 a.m. on Wednesdays); Kindergartners eat breakfast in their classrooms after the 8:25 a.m. bell.  Food Service questions can be answered at 507-645-3432, or contact the Bridgewater Food Staff at 507-664-3323
  • If your child will not be attending school, be sure to call our Attendance Line at 507-644-3301.

Ready, Set, Go Day is coming!

“Ready, Set, Go Day!” is Thursday, August 28th from 7:45-3:45.  Your student will meet their teacher, bring in school supplies, take preliminary assessments in the areas of literacy and mathematics, and have the opportunity to have their school picture taken. Each student will be assigned a 15-minute appointment to meet with the classroom teacher, with the entire visit to take about 30 minutes.  You will be receiving information in your mail mid-August.
