The Awards Program will be held on Tuesday, June 4th at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. The program is designed to award students for service, participation, citizenship and attendance. There will be other awards that are program specific. Parents are welcome to attend this assembly as well.

Bridgewater Fifth Grade Graduation, Monday, June 3

The Fifth Grade Recognition / D.A.R.E. Graduation will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. Students are encouraged to dress nicely for the occasion. Parents are also invited to attend this celebration with a reception to follow in the commons.

Please join us at the Bridgewater Learning Fair on the evening of Friday May 3rd! Student Council is sponsoring a hot dog supper from 5:30-7 (limited availability!) for $2/meal, visit the Scholastic Book Fair and enjoy the BOGO sale until 8:00, and stroll through the Bridgewater halls and view a variety of student work on display grades K-5! ALL families are invited – we hope to see you there!

Please join us for our annual 5th Grade FYI Friday Breakfast. This is a great opportunity to have a snack breakfast and hear a terrific message from our guest speaker, Jeff Pesta. A muffin or bagel and coffee will be provided for our parents. 7:45 Breakfast, 8:05 Welcome, 8:20 Students to class, Mr. Pesta talks to parents “Welcome to Middle School” .

Kindergarten 2013-14 Information Meeting, Monday, March 4

Bridgewater Elementary will hold an informational meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4 for parents with students entering kindergarten in 2013-14.

At this meeting, parents can talk with the school’s kindergarten teachers and nurse, KidVentures, and Bridges to Kindergarten. Enrollment packets can be turned in during this meeting, and also picked up if a family hasn’t received the information.

Bridgewater Spring Conferences will be held March 14, 19 and 21.

WEAR YOUR PURPLE!

We have a special guest coming to visit our students this Friday morning. Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph is coming to Bridgewater in honor of the Superbowl Breakfast Challenge that we won through the Fuel Up to Play 60 program! Bridgewater Phy Ed teacher, Paul Bernhard, has been instrumental in completing all the applications and communicating with the staff from the Minnesota Dairy Council to make this all possible for our students. Thank you Mr. Bernhard!!

Kyle Rudolph will have a brief visit and talk to the students about the importance of daily exercise and eating right. He will also emphasize the benefit of eating a good breakfast every day to improve concentration and academic achievement.

The students will have a short time to listen to our guest and ask a few questions before he departs for Rochester. He will not be signing autographs, but we have the opportunity to have him sign a few items that will be given away later in the year in a drawing after Spring Break.

We are asking the students to wear their Vikings purple on Friday! Northfield News and Northfield Patch will be in attendance as well. Make sure to ask your child about the visit when they come home on Friday.
