Northfield High School students entering grades 10 through 12 in September 2013 must be registered if they require bus service. Parents who have not provided this information may submit the online registration form before June 20.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Postponed

As a result of school closing today, March 5, 2013, high school parent-teacher conferences scheduled for this evening have been postponed. The rescheduled conferences will be held from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11, in the cafeteria spaces and Tuesday, March 19, in the classrooms.

Revival Tickets Still Available

Tickets to Northfield High School’s 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival are still available for purchase by the general public at the high school main office.

A larger number of tickets are available for the Thursday and Sunday performances. Call the high school activities office at 507.663.0632 to learn more about ticket status. All tickets cost $15 and are non-refundable, reserved seating.

Performances will take place at the Northfield Middle School auditorium with dates including: March 8 & 9 (8 p.m.), March 10 (2 p.m.), March 14 (7:30 p.m.) and March 15 & 16 (8 p.m.)

Apply for Scholarships

The Minnesota Community Foundation and many Northfield individuals and organizations provide scholarships to graduates of Northfield High School. Seniors have an opportunity to apply for these scholarships until the April 2 deadline. Visit the guidance office scholarships page to get started.

Sophomores are State Music Champs

A Northfield High School music listening team became state champions at Augsburg College on Feb. 1.

Sophomores Henry Beimers, William Beimers and Nicholas Pelletier won the Minnesota High School Music Listening Contest, in which students develop skills in active listening and critical analysis by learning to identify composers, cultures, periods and styles.

A state win is the top honor for the music listening contest.

Three Northfield High School teams placed at the regional competition Jan 18. Gail Bartolo, Noah Klein and Claire T. Johnson placed third, and Olivia Riggins, Sebastian Lawler and Allison Langston placed fourth. The district’s music listening teams are coached by Karen Madson.
