  • All Girls Tennis Players:  The Tennis Yearbooks are on the counter just inside the main office doors. Please pick one up at your convenience.
  •  Want pictures of you and your friends in the yearbook?  The yearbook staff is looking for images to use on the class pages.  If you have photos of groups of freshmen, sophomore, or juniors, upload them to the rePlayit app or website: http://www.replayit.com/r/4113500/ Remember, the photos will be screened by Jostens and will be made public.  Don’t upload inappropriate or copy-written photos.
  • Seniors, remember senior portraits and baby ads are due Dec. 12.  Email to yearbook@nfld.k12.mn.us.  Save your photos as last name.first name.jpg please.
  • There are only a few days left to get your yearbook at the lowest price!  On November 1st, the price of the book goes up to $72.00 plus tax.  Get an order form on the door of the yearbook room, H115, or order online at Jostens.com.  ANY order forms received on Nov. 1 or later will be charged the new price.  Don’t forget your form in your backpack!
  • Which teacher would you vote for as having the best lesson?  Which makes you laugh the most?  During lunch Thursday and Friday the yearbook staff will be collecting your votes for faculty superlatives.  Come vote for the teachers who make a difference at NHS! Look for a table in between the upper and lower cafe.
  • TORCH will provide assistance with college applications in the computer lab this week! All week, applications for Minnesota state colleges are free. Come to the Media Center on Monday, October 27th any time during 4th hour, after school on Wednesday October 29th, or Friday, October 31st during 6th or 7th hour to research colleges or scholarships, and complete applications! All seniors are welcome.
  • Northfield High School will be honoring veterans who have served or are currently serving in the US Armed Forces by creating a “Wall of Honor” outside our cafeteria. Any member of the NHS community may submit a photo. Please bring a COPY of the photo to any social studies classroom.  In the classrooms, you will find a box labeled “Veterans Wall of Honor” and an example of what your copied photograph and identification should model.  On the copy, please consider allowing enough space to identify when and where the person served or is serving, honors and/ or ranks and the relationship to you.  Nothing will be returned to you, so please make sure it is a copy.  We want to know about your family member or friend, so the additional information will be very welcomed!  Photos will be on display for the month of November.  Please submit photos by November 4.

Seniors: If you have not already done so, you need to turn in your diploma form and senior fee to Lori in the office ASAP. Diplomas will be ordered shortly.

Parking permits will be on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 4th, during all lunches & after school. Cost is $150. Please have current insurance card, driver’s license and car information. If you do not have a permit yet, please park in the free lot at Rock Fields.

Science Olympiad: Please come to an informational meeting today in Room D102 at 3:00 if you are interested in joining Science Olympiad this year.

There will be a meeting for all those interested in environmental club today at 3:00 in room D104.

There will be Fan Buses to the football game at Mankato West High School for this Friday, October 31st.  Information and Parent Permission forms are available in the Activities Office.  Permission forms must have a parent signature and contact phone number, and must be turned in to the Activities Office by 3:30 PM today.  The absolute deadline to buy a seat on the bus is 3:30 on TODAY.  Students will only be allowed to ride the fan bus with signed, parental permission. Riding the bus will only cost $2.00!  Tickets to enter the game are priced at $5.00, and they will be purchased at Mankato West High School just before entering the game.  More detailed information is on the Permission Form.
