NMS SPRING PARENT CONFERENCE EVENTS

Northfield Middle School’s spring conference events will kick off with our Celebration/Preview Night on Thursday, February 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  6th grade parents will have the opportunity to view all of our student History Day projects and view History Day presentations as scheduled.  Parents can also reserve a time for their 6th grade student led conferences that will take place on March 1.  7th grade teachers will offer a combination of student presentations and a sneak preview of the 8th grade curriculum and teachers. 8th grade families are welcome to sit in on the curriculum presentations or visit with any 8th grade teachers at 7:30.  All elective and allied classes will have student presentations or course previews that evening as well.  Remember that students are encouraged to attend with their parents!

Trash for Cash Competition

The “Trash for Cash” school-wide competition is coming up April 2-13! Cut boxtops, collect milk caps, & clip coupons from hundreds of products found at your local grocery store. Bring ‘em to school, and earn money for the things NMS needs….computers, books, art supplies – you name it! For more information and a list of qualifying items CLICK HERE.

8th Grade Orientation at the High School Jan. 30

Current eighth graders and their parents are encouraged to attend orientation at the Northfield High School from 7 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30. Students will gather in the gymnasium with the high school LINK Crew, while parents meet with administration and counselors in the auditorium. Don’t miss this opportunity for students to get comfortable with the school they’ll be attending next fall. Our goals include giving parents any information they need to be supportive during this transition. Representatives from all high school departments will be on hand to answer questions.
