MOTHER’S DAY BOOK SALE

The Northfield Middle School’s student run bookstore, The Tattered Pages is now accepting book donations for the upcoming Mother’s Day/Cinco de Mayo Celebration.  The event will be held the evening of May 3rd. Needed items include gently used books suitable for mothers/aunts/grandmothers (students will be selecting gifts for their English and Spanish speaking mothers) and all types of gift items that would make good Mother’s Day presents, such as stationary, music compact discs, vases, etc.

All items in The Tattered Pages store are purchased by students with coupons rather than real currency.   The coupons are earned by students for donating books to the bookstore, working in the bookstore, volunteering for school service projects or by excelling in their classrooms.  This annual Mother’s Day/Cinco de Mayo celebration will be a wonderful opportunity for students to purchase gifts for significant women in their lives, without spending a dime.  The evening will include free gift-wrapping, food, music, and Latin dancing, and crafts.

Donations can be dropped off at Northfield Middle School or call the School Media Center (663-0677) for pick up of large donations.
