The 6th Grade Orchestra from Northfield Middle School performed at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Clinic on Thursday, February 14. This music teacher’s conference is held each February at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The orchestra students assisted Terry Shade, a nationally-known string clinician, by demonstrating playing techniques and a string technique book to an audience of string educators. Their participation in this clinic was a service to Minnesota string teachers, and a rich educational experience for each student.
