- Yearbook: This week’s meeting is today after school.
- Buy a Yearbook: To purchase a yearbook, go to the NMS web page, and click on the yearbook icon. Please see Ms. Van den Akker or Ms. Dolan if you have questions.
- Knowledge Master Team: The Middle School Knowledge Master Team has resumed practicing for the spring competition. New members are welcome to join. Knowledge Masters is an academic competition in which teams compete, nationally and internationally, without leaving their own schools. The NMS Team meets Friday mornings from 7:15 to 7:45 in the Spring Creek Computer Lab. Join the team in preparation for the spring competition in April. People are needed that are knowledgeable about English, Geography, History, Literature, Mathematics, Science, and useless trivia! The next practice is this Friday, February 24, at 7:15 in the Spring Creek Lab. Donuts will be served!
- Student Council: Meeting today, 3:00 to 3:45 pm, in Mrs. Mikkelson’s classroom.
- Chess Club: The Chess Club will meet Thursday, February 23, at the High School from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Room D-102.
- Softball: Tryouts for grades 7 and 8 will be held Tuesday, February 28, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., in the Middle School gym.
- 6th Grade Field Trip: Signed permission slips for the Children’s Theatre field trip must be returned to base teachers by Friday!
- Morning News: The Morning News is looking for two students to take over Math Challenge for Katie and Lydia. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Sieve in the Media Center.

- Congratulations: The 6th grade Girls’ Basketball Team won first place at the New Prague Tournament Saturday February 18. Their record is now 20-5.

- Cast of Flat Stanley: Pick up your schedules from Mrs. Turnacliff in Room 164, or from Mrs. Penning in the Choir Room. The new rehearsal schedule runs through March 2. The entire cast is scheduled for rehearsal next Monday and Tuesday. The 4 all-cast songs must be memorized.
